Across the NIPSEA Group, our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) continues to make a tangible impact in the communities we serve. Here’s a recap of some recent initiatives:
Indonesia: #ColouringLives for UMKM Empowerment
Through the CSR initiative ColouringLives, Nippon Paint Indonesia (Banten Region) recently revitalised over 150 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (UMKM) carts in Sawangan, Depok, West Java. The project used 1,092 litres of durable Bee Brand 1000 paint to make the carts more attractive to consumers, particularly during Ramadan when many small traders sought opportunities at bustling markets.
Inspired by resilient entrepreneurs like Abah Kumis, a local food vendor of over four decades, Nippon Paint aimed to inject fresh spirit into these small businesses, representing 25 different types of enterprises. This effort reflects our belief that every colour symbolises hope, helping UMKM owners be more competitive and supporting their journey towards a brighter livelihood.

Indonesia: Revitalising Mosques as Community Hubs
Continuing the ColouringLives programme, Nippon Paint Indonesia remains committed to communities’ sustainable socio-economic development through mosque revitalisation. Since 2022, this initiative has provided high-quality paint for 647 mosques and musolla across Indonesia, totalling 15,775 litres.
The historic Masjid Agung At-Tin in East Jakarta recently received 1,643 litres of #BestInClass paints like Weatherbond Ultimate and Spotless Plus Matt. To further enhance the role of mosques, Nippon Paint Indonesia collaborated with Republika and the Sharia Economic Community (MES) to host a discussion titled “Sinergi Berwarna, Ciptakan Masjid Berdaya” (Colourful Synergy, Create Empowered Mosques) at Masjid Agung At-Tin. The event, supported by MES Chairman Erick Thohir and Religious Affairs Director Arsad Hidayat, explored how mosques can be social, educational, and economic empowerment centres, contributing to national economic growth.

Singapore: Supporting the Autism Community
Nippon Paint Singapore strongly believes in the power of community and giving back. Team members recently enjoyed an enriching day spent bowling and spreading joy with young adults from the Eden Centre for Adults.
Furthermore, demonstrating a significant commitment to empowering individuals with autism to reach their full potential, Nippon Paint Singapore donated $50,000 to the Autism Association (Singapore) through the Community Chest. This support aims to help maximise the potential of individuals within the autism community.

Sri Lanka: Transforming Urban Spaces
Nippon Paint Lanka was proud to support the inspiring CSR Project 2025 at RB Waththa, Maligawaththa. This initiative focused on creativity, community engagement, and urban transformation. It was successfully implemented through a strong collaboration between the Sri Lanka Institute of Urban Designers and the Colombo Municipal Council.
