Nippon Paint China is rapidly accelerating its strategic expansion across Southeast Asia, evolving from a domestic industry leader into a powerful regional enabler. Through seamless cross-border collaboration and an innovative dual-core service model, our teams are successfully delivering China-validated solutions to meet the complex and growing infrastructure demands of the ASEAN market.

Redefining Presence at ARCHIDEX 2026

This strategic evolution was recently highlighted during Nippon Paint China’s highly anticipated debut at ARCHIDEX 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Transitioning away from merely exporting standalone products, the company showcased comprehensive, integrated solutions across four core themes: Smart Manufacturing, Air Purification, Energy Efficiency and Decarbonisation, and Better Living.

Among the groundbreaking innovations presented were radiative cooling coatings capable of cutting cooling-energy use by nearly 25%, alongside advanced industrial flooring systems designed specifically to support automated manufacturing and logistics vehicles like AGVs. By leveraging the extensive local manufacturing and service network of the Nipsea Group, Nippon Paint is driving a robust dual-engine model that flawlessly pairs Chinese research and technological innovation with Southeast Asian on-the-ground execution.

Cross-Border Synergy at the BDC M07 Data Center

Putting this collaborative strategy into immediate practice, the Jiangsu TUB team recently joined forces with Nippon Paint Malaysia to secure the monumental BDC M07 Data Center project in Johor. As a benchmark ultra-large-scale campus spanning 200,000 square metres, the project required a comprehensive suite of interior and exterior wall coatings, alongside a multi-million-dollar implementation of anti-static and self-levelling epoxy flooring systems.

The cross-border task force faced significant hurdles, including strict local SIRIM certification requirements and incredibly tight construction deadlines. However, through synchronised local warehousing, rapid compliance processing, and joint supply chain coordination, the team successfully shortened the overall supply cycle by a remarkable three months. This milestone project serves as a powerful validation of our global supply chain and localised service capabilities working in perfect harmony.

Aligning with Regional Infrastructure Upgrades

As Southeast Asia experiences rapid industrial upgrading from electric vehicle production in Thailand to semiconductor expansion in Malaysia, the demand for high-performance infrastructure is at an all-time high. Nippon Paint China is addressing these specific structural challenges by exporting operational expertise gained through China’s own smart manufacturing transformation, effectively embedding our high standards into the region’s foundational infrastructure.

To support this ongoing expansion, the Kunming smart manufacturing facility has been positioned as a strategic gateway to support Belt and Road market development. This shift from single-project participation to systematic regional development proves that we are no longer just exporting products. We are exporting comprehensive capabilities and shaping the future of the built environment across borders.
