Beyond our own operational footprint, we are deeply committed to elevating the capabilities of the wider industry ecosystem. By facilitating practical skills training, empowering local tradespeople, and fostering early educational outreach, our business units are actively creating pathways for economic independence and building highly resilient local communities.

Fostering Economic Independence for Women in the Trade

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the graduation of seven determined women from the nShakti training programme in Amarambedu. This focused, two-week journey equipped them with professional decorative painting skills and the confidence to step into new commercial opportunities. Most importantly, the initiative successfully connected skill development with sustainable livelihoods by actively collaborating with partners to enable real work opportunities for these newly certified nShaktians.

Bridging the Gap Between Academia and Industry

Committed to elevating vocational education, Betek launched highly impactful collaborations with the Sectoral Excellence Centres affiliated with the Ministry of National Education. The team hosted dedicated technical training programmes at the Gebze factory for vocational chemistry teachers from across Türkiye, sharing up-to-date laboratory analyses, modern test methods, and product development processes. Inspiring the next generation, Betek also welcomed engineering students from Gebze Technical University and Yildiz Technical University to observe real-world production processes on-site, effectively bridging the gap between academic theory and practical application.

Cultivating Early Innovation Through Experiential Learning

Nippon Paint Indonesia hosted an experiential learning day at the Serpong Depot for grade three students from the Sinarmas World Academy. Through comprehensive warehouse logistics tours and interactive “Make Your Own Colour” workshops, the programme successfully sparked youth creativity and introduced them to the foundational theories of colour. The session also highlighted the importance of using high-quality, eco-friendly coatings like the Nippon Paint Spot-less Plus series.

Elevating Professional Craftsmanship and Application Standards

Our commitment to grassroots empowerment was proudly showcased in Sri Lanka, as the team formally welcomed the 10th batch of eager professionals to the Nippon Paint Painter’s Academy, ensuring the continuous development of the next generation of painters. To further elevate local craftsmanship in specialised sectors, Nippon Paint Lanka also successfully conducted a hands-on Auto Paint Painter Workshop in Ruwanwella, equipping professional painters with the advanced technical skills and confidence needed to master their craft.
