A Pavilion Inspired by Colour and Sustainability

Inspired by the humble yet essential designer’s “colour fan” (Fandeck), the pavilion, designed in collaboration with the pbm Design Studio, was a testament to imaginative reinterpretation. Its futuristic, curved structure, intriguingly presented with a clean white exterior, stood as a calm focal point amidst the expo’s vibrancy. However, the organisers invited visitors to journey through a spectrum of possibilities, akin to exploring a vast palette of over 2,300 shades. The thoughtful design also embraced sustainability, with construction using curved steel and wood assembled with traditional Thai wood joining techniques, allowing designers to disassemble and reuse materials post-event.
