The spirit of camaraderie and community was in full swing as colleagues from Nippon Paint China recently participated in their much-anticipated annual “一个鸡蛋的暴走” (An Egg’s Walkathon)! This vibrant event, held on May 10th at the Pudong Binjiang Thermal Power Plant, was not only about tackling the impressive 15KM and 50KM routes but also a day filled with energy, teamwork, and a shared dedication to supporting underprivileged children.

The morning kicked off with an electric atmosphere. Twelve enthusiastic teams, along with nearly 100 accompanying walkers and supported by 50 dedicated staff volunteers, gathered at the starting line. Images from the start captured a large gathering of participants, all united in purpose and filled with anticipation for the challenge ahead.

Once underway, the route saw our NIPSEA colleagues walking with determination and good cheer. Banners like “We Connect” were proudly displayed, symbolising the bonds forged with every step. The event’s spirit was uplifting, with participants of all ages, including children, seen enjoying the day and supporting the walkers at various points, highlighting the true community feel of the walkathon.
Of course, endurance played a big part! Photos captured teams showing incredible teamwork, supporting each other through challenging stretches. Some participants took well-deserved breathers, showcasing the effort involved but always smiling, which spoke of their resilience and shared experience.

The sense of achievement was noticeable as participants reached milestones and crossed the finish line, greeted with cheers and a great sense of accomplishment. Beyond the physical challenge, each team’s efforts contributed to a significant fundraising goal of ¥30,000 per team, further amplified by the “为爱上色” (Colour Way of Love) Charity Sale held in conjunction with the event.

Nippon Paint China’s Egg Walkathon was a fantastic demonstration of how team spirit, fun, and a commitment to the community can create a truly memorable and impactful day. Congratulations to all participants, volunteers, and organisers for making it a resounding success.
